He pursued his medical education at the University of Seville in Spain, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 1981. Following medical school, he completed his internship and residency at St. Luke's Hospital in affiliation with Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Furthering his expertise, he completed a prestigious fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Missouri in 1986.

Dr. González began his private practice in South Florida in 1986, focusing on providing comprehensive care for a wide range of digestive disorders.
